Catching up

I haven't blogged in a while, here's my opportunity to catch you up on what I've been doing.  I actually did a fall craft to decorate my house.  That's one thing that is really missing in my house, decorations.  Being on a small budget that's one of the things that we never really have money for.  There aren't any plants in my house, just a handful of wall hangings and pictures, only one room with curtains, I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Anyways, I made these cute little metallic pumpkins.  I was inspired by Centsational Girl (once again).  But obviously downsized it to be a centerpiece.

She used some fancy paint, I used craft metallic gold craft paint from Walmart.  It was $1.27, the pumpkins were 78 cents each and I had foam brushes on hand.  So all-in-all it only cost me less than $4.  Not to shabby.  I have them grouped with my new wood wick candle that smells so yummy.
I've also got some sewing done lately.  My neighbor and good friend just had her baby (the one I made the nursing pads and diaper for).  She had a boy, Gibson, and he is so SWEET!!  So she and her hubby both wanted slings, she picked out the fabric and I went to town.  I got these both done in an afternoon, wow.

I also got to make a friend a shirt for her little boy who turned 2.  She provided the shirt and the fabric, I've got two more to do for her other little ones.

And I have done some sewing for my kiddos too.  I did a set of rag quilt numbers to go along with The Monster's letters set. No pics yet, but I'll get on it.
And here's an action shot of Little Miss's pumpkin clippie.  She got all decked out last week for MOPS.  Can you see her baby leg warmers?  I made those last year, found the socks at Target.  Oh how I LOVE Target!

Hope you feel up to date now. :)
